Hello, we are the Biscuit Tin Collective. As diverse as the instruments we each play (or more), we have certain essential common ground. We all love music and between us have quite a range of musical tastes (see below). These influences often show up in our eclectic set lists.
We meet on average once a week and write, play, chat and drink wine. Luckily we get on well both personally and musically!
This is what happens when a band playing obscure covers, decides to jettison its repertoire, write a manifesto, create its own songs (see manifesto – section 7.2 ‘That’s not a fucking song’), reinvent 21st Century music and participate in communal therapy. Our music defies classification, crosses and blends Folk and Jazz with sensitive instrumentation allowing the listener to focus on the beauty of human voices singing in harmony. We aim to play only what is necessary and give each song what it needs.
